'Tis the season; have a merry one!

Well, if this isn't the height of laziness. Every year around this time I practice the ancient art of Christmas Humbuggery and fail to muster the ambition to put up a tree. It's not that I dislike Christmas trees, or even putting them up. It's just a very deep understanding of my own laziness - I would never feel like taking the darn thing down.

However, this year I thought it would be nice to set up a virtual tree, one I never have to take down. So I went out and got one.

Merry Christmas to anyone who visits me here. Have a happy holiday wherever you are.

Been awhile

Okay, it's been awhile since I updated this blog....honestly I didn't mean to neglect you for so long!! :)

My buddy Kathy is gone. Poof. Now she's in Asia teaching Korean kids how to talk her language. OMG! Sounds like a cool experience. Luckily through the magic of technology, she's only a click away at Adventures in Asia.

As for the rest of my blog, I'm coming back to you baby, just give me some time!

Excellent Flash animation on the web

If you're looking to waste some time on the web, do it in style. Crawl your way over to Han Hoogerbrugge's site. I found this the other day and I'm still going through some of the interesting - if not insane - flash animation and artwork. It's mind-boggling.

Neo-Fringe alert...

I just chatted with an old friend of mine - Appleseed. We go way back to the days before the WWW when electronic communications meant dialing up to a BBS run on somebody's PC. He and I both created our own BBSes from scratch - his was originally on an Apple IIc and mine was on a Commodore64 (believe it or not). For awhile mine was even coded in assembly language (Geek!)

Things have changed quite a bit, but Appleseed still has his BBS, called Neo-Fringe, running in the Web. Of course, it's all homemade from the server up. I told him I'd do some pinup graphics and illustrations for his site when I got the inspiration. Every section has a different Neo-Fringe citizen inhabiting the place giving it an almost Manga feel. And Neo-Fringe needs some more citizens.

Feel free to hop on the next shuttle to Neo-Fringe.

The topic this week at Illustration Friday is "Empty".

Here's my illustration of that topic.

Yup, the box is definately empty. I took it pretty literal.

Fido home after dark

A quick illustration while I have the inspiration. Not sure where this came from except that Kathy said I should do some funky building type illustrations. Never done one before, so this is a first go. I might come back and clean it up a bit later on.

On a late night walkabout thru the darker part of the neighbourhood? Better hope that Fido ain't hungry.... :)

Later skaters...

The topic this week at Illustration Friday is "Aging". And this is my first entry at Illustration Friday.

This will probably become one of my favourite pastimes in years to come.... :)
